The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenceman Guillaume Brisebois to a one-year, two-way contract, as announced by General Manager Ryan Johnson.
Brisebois, 28, skated in nine games with the Abbotsford Canucks in 2025-26, recording two points and a +4 plus/minus rating.
He has appeared in 30 career NHL games, all with Vancouver, registering three points and six penalty minutes.
The signing adds depth to the Canucks' roster, with Brisebois bringing experience from his time in the AHL and NHL.
As of July 1, 2026, the Vancouver Canucks stand 16th in the Western Conference with a 25-49 record, on a L1 streak.
Brisebois will look to contribute to the team's success in the upcoming season, with his experience and skills potentially playing a key role.
The Longueuil, QC native has represented Canada on multiple occasions, including the 2013 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge and the 2014 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament, where he won gold.
He was originally selected by the Vancouver Canucks in the third round, 66th overall, in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
The Canucks will look to improve their standing in the Western Conference, with the addition of Brisebois to their roster.
Brisebois has also appeared in 306 AHL games, split between the Utica Comets and Abbotsford, collecting 67 points and 127 penalty minutes.
